Different dog. This one lives at Annapurna Base Camp (13,500 ft) and is probably the pet of one of the locals working at a tourist lodge there. At ABC, the ritual is to get up at 5:30 a.m. to see the sunrise over Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail), the sacred mountain of the Annapurna range. This mountain dog revelled in the attention of the dozens of trekkers scampering around on the snow at this early hour.
