In Nepal, animals coexist with humans in ways rarely seen in the United States. Cows, goats, chickens, and even monkeys wander the streets of cities and rural areas alike. Dogs, too, maintain a visible presence. Unlike the U.S., however, they often do not appear to have owners. This guy approached us on the trail outside of one of the villages. We said a few nice words to him and petted him for a bit and he followed us around the rest of the afternoon. |
