Moments of Rangitoto

In my life, I’ve mostly been a fan of finding new and different views, but there’s something to be said for watching the same view over time.
My friend of nearly 30 years, Kevin, and his wife Jen are currently visiting New Zealand. For a while now, I’ve been planning a day trip for us to Rangitoto, a volcanic island just outside Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour. Our tickets are booked for this Friday. w00+!
Over the last couple of months, whenever I’m at the beach (which is at least a couple times per week), I’ve taken a shot of Rangitoto and uploaded it to photo-a-day sharing site Momentile.com using their eponymously awesome iPhone app.
Below is my compleat chronicling of Rangitoto (from afar.) Photos were taken between Browns Bay and Takapuna.
Which is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
Update: Our day on Rangitoto has come and gone. We had gorgeous weather and got to enjoy views like the one below. It was quite fun to finally stand on top of the landmark I’ve admired for so long from afar!

Still have something to say? Drop me a line!
Hey Andrew, really interesting post. Pretty cool seeing multiple perspectives of the same object over time. I would have to say the 13th of September is my favorite. I really love that stormy sky!
